The palace shook so hard Semele fell out of bed. Gingerly she got up to a sitting position. The palace was still shaking, she could hear loud explosions coming from the East side of the palace. Suddenly her chamber doors slammed open. Nene, her governess ran in, disappeared into the next room, and raced back out. She pulled Semele upright and jammed on her coat. "What's happening?", she asked, feeling a sense of foreboding. Something was very wrong.
" We have to leave here, the palace is under attack", Nene asnwered breathlessly. Semele envisioned her parents in her mind. There. They were in the front hall, fighting with the other gods and goddesses, against a giant black Thing. Her parents fought hard, but nothing they did seem to do anything to damage it. It was everywhere, destroying everything. Suddenly it appeared behind her mother and slammed her against a wall. Semele screamed, a blast of white light hit the creature, almost destroying it. Semele collapsed on the floor, falling out of her, "sight". Because of the sight she was left exhausted. But Nene pulled her up, grabbed her hand and ran down the corridor. Nene pulled her in the direction of the great hall, then stopped at a statue in the corridor near the ballroom. It was a statue of her father, Emperor Helios, King of the Gods. Nene pushed down the scepter in the left hand, moving the statue aside to reveal a passage behind it. She ran through, and navigated the endless maze, as if she knew it like the back of her hand. Finally they saw a door at the end, and Nene burst through it. They were in the corridor next to the front hall. The palace was still shaking from the explosions. Several windows shattered. Nene turned to go down the hall away from the front hall, then gasped. Blood splattered against Semele's nightgown and face. She stood motionless, her face frozen in shock.
"I'm surprised they would hire a mortal to be your nurse, but then your parents were always doing stupid things like that", said Eris, pulling her sword out of Nene's body. The body lay crumpled on the floor at Semele's feet.
" I'm sorry I killed her, but she was in the way."
Semele said nothing, angry tears beggining to spill down her face.
" Why are you doing this?", she whispered.
" Because I can," she whispered back. " Aren't you going to run?, she asked,
" No"
"Very well then,".
She made a move to hit her with a ball of black energy, when she screamed. a silver arrow stuck out of her chest. She fell. Artemis ran and picked up Semele and handed her to Hestia, " Get her out of here, Athena and I will hold her off. Hermes is waiting in the stables. Now go!", Eris was beggining to get up. Artemis turned to face her, and lunged, Athena already beggining to fight her. Hestia turned, and carrying her, ran down the corridor, out the doors, through the dining room to the kitchens, and out the back door that lead to the stables. Hermes, stood in an open chariot. Hestia ran and put her in the chariot next to him. " Get her out of here, and hide her somewhere she'll be safe. Go now!", she said. Then turned and disappeared. " Hold on Princess", he said, then snapped the reins. The horses imeadiately sprang into a run, and bolted out of the gates that Eos held open.
They were going so fast, she could hardly breathe. They kept going, riding hard. Suddenly they were slammed hard in the back, the horses reared and ran faster. She screamed and lost her grip and fell out of the chariot. She heard Hermes yell her name before Eris attacked him again, and saw Artemis and Athena appear to help. And then she couldn't see them anymore. She just kept falling. She screamed as she fell. Suddenly she could see what seemed like a dry desert with spots of green and a long river in the middle. " This is it" she thought. "I'm going to die".
In her great palace the Lady Isis saw her falling. Recognizing the Princess, she immeadiately flew to catch her. Semele was falling hard and fast, and then she slammed hard into something. She squeezed her eyes shut. And then, she was no longer falling. She opened her eyes, and looked into Isis's face for the first time. She felt scared and yet safe, as if everything was going to be okay.
Isis flew to her palace with Semele in her arms. She landed gently on a balcony and carefully set her on a recliner. Semele slumped into it, curled up into a ball and began to cry.
" Odd" thought Isis " the greek gods are usually a stiff cold kind of people". But she felt moved to compassion, by the little girl's tears. She sat down on the edge and pulled her into her lap, and holding her close, let her cry onto her chest.
When she was dried of her tears she looked up at Isis.
" Where am I?", she asked. " You are in Egypt", she replied " are you all right Semele?",
" How do you know my name?"
" I've known you since you were a baby"
" Can I go back?"
" No, it's not safe yet. You will stay here with me until the battle is over."
" When will that be?"
" i don't know small Lady, I don't know". She sighed.
" Eris will come looking for you here. So I will hide you with a human family. You will be staying with a noble family. I will modify their memory so they will think you their daughter. Tell no one who you are or where you came from, nothing. So I can ensure your safety. From now on you are Ahmose Semele, a court Lady. I will watch over you always, so don't be afraid".
So Semele stayed. Still she could not shake the feeling that it wasn't over. Not yet.

This is Lady's story. It's her past, present, and has a hint of her future. It's basically her background. You can find a picture of Semele in my gallery labeled Lady. And there is also a portrait of her and her mother. Forget the name, but it looks really Russian. You can't miss it. Al right I also have some cliff notes. I can't really tell you when this is happening. But I can tell you that it's not very long after the trojan war. Zeus was dethroned cuz they found out about his involvement ( if you don't know what I'm talking about look it up!). So the Titan's regain control. And Selene and Helios are chosen as the new rulers. Time for the gods is very different from ours. To them years are like days or hours. Anyway by the time this is happening the gods have had their own revolution and are at the Imperial stage. They have a new form of government, thats hard to explain. I'll explain later if I don't feel too lazy.
